As part of our commitment to learning both in and through music, the Arlington Band Boosters provides several scholarships for interested students to pursue opportunities outside of school programs. These include college scholarships as well as summer camps.
ABBI College Scholarship
Arlington Band Boosters, Inc. will be awarding one $500.00 scholarship annually to a high school senior (male or female) contingent upon their enrollment at an accredited college or university prior to June 1st of the year the scholarship is awarded.
ABBI Summer Band Camp Scholarship
The ABBI Summer Band Camp Scholarship is open to current 9th, 10th or 11th grade AHS band students. Students must be attending an accredited music camp and provide copies of the camp’s application and their acceptance letter. The scholarship is NOT need based and a sum of $1,000 will be divided up equally between all applicants provided they meet the deadline and criteria above, with no student receiving more than $250.
Irene C. Keyes Memorial Scholarship
The Irene C. Keyes Memorial Scholarship was established by the Arlington Band Boosters in memory of Irene Keyes, a tireless volunteer for the Band program and numerous other community groups. The scholarship is administered by the Arlington Education Foundation. It is a $1,000 scholarship awarded to a community-minded senior music student attending college with a major in the fields of math, engineering or computer science. AEF will send a letter home in the 3rd marking period report cards which will include a list of all available scholarships and a request for a donation. For senior families, a letter along with the AEF scholarship application will go home.
Applications will also be available in the AHS offices and on the AEF website.
